It snowed so much here in Michigan yesterday, all day.  It was beautiful!!  Today, the blanket of snow is glistening under the blue, sunny skies. This was my morning view down our driveway this morning.

It’s the first snow day of the school year and the kids and I aren’t mad one bit about being snowed in. Our agenda consists of staying in our pjs, sledding, snow angels, and Sign making of course since all orders need to be out this weekend(!!). All while sticking to our 4 main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corn, & syrup (best movie ever hehee!)

We decorated our front porch and hung Christmas lights a few weeks ago, but all the snow was the perfect finishing touch. As much as I don’t necessarily love the cold and find myself questioning ‘why we live somewhere I can’t feel my face for months on end’ I think I would miss the beauty of it.

I’ve apparently been living under a rock for the last couple years because you guys I JUST started using chalk markers and  well  they  are  super  amazing and user friendly. If you haven’t tried them yet either, climb out from under that rock and give them a try, you’ll love them lol. I drew this free handed and it was really easy and if I messed up I could just wipe it off. I had intentions on coloring the little red truck in with Red chalk but haven’t quite made it that far.

What do you guys fill your lanterns with? I really do love the versatility of them, but usually end up just tossing some lights in them.

Thanks for following along as we have been making this house our HOME the past year. It’s crazy to see just how far this little house of ours has come.

(BEFORE picture)Looking forward to sharing new Signs and home renovation projects with you guys in 2018. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours.
