Kitchen & Dinning Room Demo

A year ago, today, we moved into our new home. Our fixer upper. We loved the property and seen the potential in the home so we decided to move a whole 5 doors down from our old house. You guys, honestly lol. I guess the plus side to this was the transition wasn’t too bad for our kids. Shoot, Emma didn’t even have to change her bus for school. We’ve done quite a few renovations since we moved in but the first one was the kitchen and dinning area.

This was the task at hand. IMG_6351

First thing I did was paint the cupboards with Annie Sloans chalk paint – Old White. Topped with the Clear Glaze. My Dad made my farmhouse sink dreams come true and was ultimately my renovation hero.

We had to rebuild the bottom of the cupboard in order for it to work but it was worth it.

We had the wall next to the dinning room table removed. It made the space feel so much bigger and let in so much more natural lighting.

Cumberland Floors worked their magic and made these hardwood floors look brand new.

It finally feels like HOME here and I’m looking forward to sharing more of our renovations with you guys. XO
